Module 4: Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing (2015)
Module 4 covers the general requirements for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Flame Resistant (FR) clothing and how to select PPE for the specific hazards involved with various tasks. This course also includes "Playing it Safe," a series of self-study questions. The objectives of this module are to:
- Outline the selection criteria for PPE.
- Identify the risk/hazard category for a task using Table 130.7(C)(9)(a).
- Recognize the characteristics of PPE suitable for different types of work on electrical parts.
Anyone concerned with electrical safety including: electrical engineers, safety managers, electricians, electrical contractors, plant managers, facility maintenance personnel, electrical inspectors, risk managers, and project managers.
