Pipe Schedule Layout


The sketch shows a typical pipe schedule layout, using ordinary hazard pipe sizes.  Note that the piping has an increasing size, from the end of the branch line to the feed main.  In essence, the piping is arranged the same way a tree grows - smaller at the end of the branches, and larger at the trunk.  Thus, this type of system is called a "tree" system.
