Introduction to Clean Agents

Introduction

Total Flooding Clean Agents

Total flooding clean agent systems utilize a gaseous fire extinguishing agent to provide protection from fire throughout an enclosed space.  A clean agent is described as "not leaving a residue, and electrically non-conductive" in NFPA-2001 implying that repairs or cleanup would not be required after application of the agent without the presence of a fire.
