Electric Vehicles and Electrified Truck Parking

Article 625 & Article 626

Article 625 covers electric vehicle charging systems, which are becoming more common.

Article 626, which was new in 2008, addresses electrified truck parking spaces, locations where trucks park and drivers sleep or rest in their trucks. Rather than have the truck run continuously, consuming fuel and polluting, providers of truck parking places use a fixed method that can be connected to the parked truck to provide various services like Internet, television, telephone, power supply, and heating and air conditioning without leaving the truck engine running.
