Introduction
Overview
For decades, building owners and business operators have implemented fire detection and alarm systems to "watch" for fire. Today, these systems are very technical.
A fire alarm and detection system requires many parts to make it function properly and work as expected. This program explores the fundamental parts of protective signaling systems - those components that are built into all fire alarm systems regardless of how simple or complex, how small or large.
The National Fire Alarm Code® (NFPA 72®) is a valuable resource that is widely used to establish inspection and maintenance programs. The National Fire Protection Association publishes NFPA 72. This course adheres to the requirements outlined in NFPA 72.
