Manufactured Buildings

Article 545: Manufactured Buildings

Article 545 covers manufactured buildings. This is a very short article, dealing only with aspects of manufactured buildings that are perhaps a little bit different than a built-in-place structure.

Although such structures are often wired during manufacture, they are frequently modular and require both movement to the final site and field-made interconnections. In some cases the buildings are moved and reassembled multiple times. Thus, precautions are specified to be certain the wiring can withstand the processes of manufacturing, packaging, transit and final assembly.
