Area classification details for common applications, continued:

Article 515: Bulk Storage Plants – Covers large tank farms and the transfer (loading) activities that take place in bulk storage facilities.
Article 516: Spray Application, Dipping and Coating Processes – Covers both liquid spray (Class I) and powder coating (Class II) applications.
Article 517: Healthcare Facilities – Provides requirements for classified anesthetizing locations, but those locations no longer exist in most healthcare facilities.

If an area is not included in these very common applications, it will be necessary to go elsewhere for area classifications and come back to the National Electrical Code for installation requirements. Informational notes in Articles 500, 505 and 506 provide a lot of suggestions for sources of information about area classification, both in general and for certain industries.
