Auxiliary Fire Alarm Systems

Signal Receiving

Other Power Supply Requirements

To insure maximum reliability within the auxiliary system, any circuit in the system has to be capable of being supplied from any battery, rectifier, or generator. Individual circuits have to be fused where they are connected to the power supply. Local circuits used in the auxiliary station system's essential features have to be monitored for integrity. In other words, the system has to monitor itself for integrity inside the public fire service communications center. The local system has to be powered either in concert with box circuits or by the inclusion of a separate power supply.

If the power supply experiences a reduction of 15% or greater, a visible and audible trouble signal has to be transmitted.
