Article 760

Article 760 covers the “installation of wiring and equipment of fire alarm systems including all circuits controlled and powered by the fire alarm system.”This is the scope statement from Article 760. This includes all fire detection initiating devices and notification appliances circuits and their wiring. Also included are all building fire safety systems, such as door-hold-open and smoke door and damper control, as long as these circuits are powered by and under the control of the fire alarm system.

Article 760 also makes specific reference to other articles, such as Article 800 for communications circuits and Article 300 for wiring methods. It also references NFPA 72 for the installation and spacing of devices and appliances.
