Trouble Signal Disposition

When a trouble signal is received, the central station:
Communicate immediatelyThe term "immediately" in this instance is intended to mean "without unreasonable delay," but is not defined in NFPA 72. Routine handling should take no more than four minutes. with the person designatedIt is appropriate for the central station to notify local fire officials if the designated people can't be reached. by the customer
If required by the AHJ, notifyNotification of restoration may also be required by the AHJ. local fire officials Dispatch a maintenance technicianThe runner or technician is only required when the central station can't reach a person designated by the client.to investigate and effect repairs, to arrive within four hours after being dispatched
Notify authorities if the equipment supervised is going to be out of service for more than eight hours
