Non-Power-Limited

Cables

For circuits operating at 150 volts or less, non-power-limited cables are available which, with certain restrictions, may be installed exposed. Each insulated conductor in a non-power-limited cable must be suitable for 600 volts, but the cable is permitted to be marked with a maximum usage voltage rating of 150 volts. The cables must also meet other requirements: Minimum conductor size The minimum conductor size permitted for non-power-limited cables is #18. Listing The cables must be specifically listed for non-power-limited fire alarm circuits. Marking
Installation These cables are for use outside of conduit or other raceway. Use of these cables is not required if the circuit conductors are installed in raceway.
